Up up up and out of the valleys. We passed Mojave dam and had breakfast the other side of its river. It was another ridge line day with the flat lands around the dam to our right and the slopes of the ranges on our left. The view before us was that of the San Gabriel Mountains within which the up and coming Mount Baden-Powell awaited us. After a hot hot morning the trail then shot over the ridge providing beautiful views of Silverwood Lake. We smashed the trail going along the lake not only because it was beautiful, but we were nearing the Cleghorn camp site where pizza can be ordered to! On arrival we saw that a massive group of hikers had gathered around a pile of pizza and had surplus for us. Beers, pizza, and toilets = bliss.
